nadicom Databases

tree by nadicom is our own validated DNA database, containing over 55,000 of 16S, 18S and ITS sequences from bacteria, fungi and yeast.

Where the strain cannot be identified using our database tree by nadicom, a BLAST search is carried out and the quality of the sequence and publication is assured by nadicom. In some cases (the isolation of new previously unidentified species), neither tree by nadicom nor BLAST will provide an identification. In these cases, a morphological examination is carried out.

fybase by nadicom is our own morphological based database, which gives the customer detailed morphological and biochemical characteristics of the identified organism. All this information is gathered from scientific literature such as the International Journal of Systematic Bacteriology. This database offers a broad overview and description on prevalent micro-organisms in production plants and therefore serves as an essential tool for routine laboratory work.
